“Dance and Music are the hidden language of the soul”.

Music and dance engages the brain of the children, cultivate communication skills, allows kids to express themselves, foster physical skills and contribute to creativity and imagination. In our institution we try to achieve these goals through the medium of dance and music. Students learn to use musical instruments.

In present day education system every aspect of student is evaluated. Music is one of those areas where students are graded as per their interests and abilities. Music is very serene instinct that creates not only melodious environment but also lightens and refreshes everybody by providing peace and a lot of relief. It floats us in a totally different kind of environment where we get relaxed from all the worries and woes of our daily routine. In our school, singing notes are introduced among the students, ‘Alankars’ are also taught to them. Different types of songs such as patriotic songs, cultural songs and different prayers are also taught and students are made to practice and perform the same in different cultural events.

Various group activities and individual activities are conducted to assess them and they are graded on the basis of:
• Pronunciation
• Voice Melody
• Notes
• Pitch

Theoretical and practical aspects are both considered for their assessment.
